Electric Outage Reporting System

A powerful and robust mapping and reporting system developed for the New York State Department of Public Service. During an outage event, EORS is used to process data submitted by utility companies and generate a range of thematic maps illustrating the impact of the outage (geographic extent, affected population, estimated recovery time, etc.). Output from this system is critical to decision makers, and is used by the NYS Governor's Office and the NYS Emergency Management Office.

Serving New England including Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine; the state of New York; the state of Pennsylvania;
and much of the Appalachian region including West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
